Magens Cove
The Magens Cove Estate is one of the most special properties on the market today. Located on the west side of Magens Bay, the Magens Cove property consists of just over 15 acres of tropical forest and about 550 feet of beach, the entire beach at Magens Cove to be exact.
A majority of Magens Bay was once owned by Arthur Fairchild who donated most of it as a gift to the people of the Virgin Islands in 1943 for use as a public park making Magens Cove even more special as it is not part of the park. Legend has it that the famous pirate Sir Francis Drake used Magens Bay as an anchorage while waiting for ships to plunder in the late 1500’s.
Also included in the sale is a newly constructed beach bungalow where from your front porch you can watch the gentle waves break across the reef, listen to the sounds of the sea and forest and watch pelicans diving on the baitfish along the shoreline. Electric and phone lines run through the property along a paved road. Zoning allows for subdivision but the property also makes an incredible private estate.
This dramatic property is the largest beachfront parcel in all of Magens Bay and words cannot describe the emotion that you will feel while walking through the palm grove to the black sand and smooth rock shoreline. Reefs teeming with fish and other marine life are just off of the shoreline for excellent snorkeling and scuba diving in your back yard. Tarpon and jacks roam the shallows at sunrise and sunset for the fly fishermen and the beach is a perfect place to keep your kayaks or sailboats waiting for the next cruise through the bay.
